US Tariffs & Duties

Shipping to the United States from Canada: What to know before you order your Nabber traps.

The Short Version

Nabber products are designed and manufactured in Canada and qualify as originating goods under the Canada–US–Mexico trade agreement (CUSMA/USMCA). We include a certification of origin with every US shipment. That normally means no regular import duty applies, but US trade rules are changing frequently and some charges may still apply. Any duties, taxes or carrier fees are set and collected by US authorities and the delivery carrier, not by Nabber, and they aren't included in our product prices or shipping charges.

What Decides Whether Duties Apply?

Where the product was made

Ours are designed and manufactured in Kelowna, BC, Canada.

What the product is

Every imported product has a customs classification that sets its duty rate. Ours is HTSUS 8543.70.99.

Trade agreement status

Products that meet CUSMA/USMCA rules of origin can normally enter the US duty-free. Ours do.

Trade policy at the time of import

The US has recently applied additional tariffs to specific Canadian products, and these can apply even to goods that qualify under CUSMA/USMCA. As of September of 2026, Nabber products are not on those lists. Rules can change with little notice, and the rules in effect when your package crosses the border are the ones that apply.
