About Nabber
A Different Starting Point
Nabber was created in response to a simple observation: most rodent control systems were designed for environments where poison, frequent site visits, and manual intervention were acceptable. In many modern settings, those assumptions no longer hold.
Instead of attempting to improve existing methods, Nabber was designed from the ground up around a different set of constraints — environments where chemical rodenticides, unnecessary animal suffering, and ongoing human presence are unacceptable.
That shift in assumptions required a fundamentally different system.
Designed Under Constraint
Nabber systems are engineered to operate where traditional approaches struggle or fail. The design is governed by non-negotiable requirements:
- Rodenticide-free operation
- Instant, humane euthanasia
- Autonomous, unattended use
- Predictable, repeatable outcomes
- Verifiable performance data
These constraints are not marketing positions. They are engineering requirements that shape every design decision.
Built, Tested, Proven
Nabber technology has undergone extensive real-world validation, with more than 200,000 hours of field testing across agriculture, commercial, retail, and institutional environments.
Testing has been conducted across varied climates and operating conditions to ensure reliability, durability, and consistency over long deployment cycles.
The result is a system that prioritizes outcomes over activity — reducing labour, minimizing intervention, and eliminating reliance on chemical control methods.
Independent by Design
Nabber is developed and manufactured through a focused, boutique and privately held business operation based in British Columbia, Canada. This approach allows for tighter control over engineering, manufacturing quality, and iteration cycles.
The technology is protected by patented designs and proprietary systems, and the company maintains a global outlook, with deployments and partnerships extending beyond North America.
Nabber continues to explore international distribution partnerships with organizations aligned around humane, poison-free, and outcome-driven rodent control.
A Quiet Shift
Nabber does not position itself as a replacement for an industry. It offers a system designed under different assumptions — for operators, organizations, and environments where traditional tools are no longer sufficient.
Adoption is driven by alignment, not persuasion.
The Team
Nabber Systems Inc was launched and developed by Mark Krehel and Ken Gauthier.
Mark is the design and manufacturing lead — an industrial tool developer with a background in building precision-engineered products from the ground up. He has owned, operated, and sold several companies built around performance manufacturing.
Ken handles the administration and commercial side — regulatory, operations, and market development. Three decades in professional services across business and engineering.
They started Nabber in 2020 in Kelowna, BC with a straightforward premise: the pest control industry needed a mechanical solution that could operate autonomously, without chemicals, and without ongoing human intervention. Five years later that's what's been built.
